Autonomous Pole Balancing Robot

This is an age-old classical control problem modified to create some excitement. The robot vehicle has to balance a free-falling pole by moving on a competition platform with three different slopes. The robot has to balance the pole initially on one slope for 20 seconds. Then it should travel forward and backwards between the opposite ends of the platform thus making as many trips as possible and complete the run by balancing on the starting side again for 20 more seconds. All these should be donewith in 5 minutes. The robot achieving the maximum number of trips will win.
